Neil’s legacy lives on

The outstanding contribution that our late CEO Neil Campbell made to AFG has been recognised by naming a head office meeting room in Prescot after him.

Neil, who sadly passed away last September, was CEO from 2006 to 2018. His name joins a prestigious list of former Chairmen, Trustees and the AFG founder Matthew Clarke who have had meeting rooms named in their honour.

People and Organisational Development Director Kirsty Muldoon said: “This is one of several fitting tributes to Neil. At our recent Celebrating Success evening, the Inspirational Leader of the Year award was re-named the Neil Campbell award. He has left a rich personal legacy through the people he met and the impact of everything which he did that positively impacted so many lives in the care sector and beyond. We will miss him but naming a room after him will be part of his legacy.”

Neil’s life has also been celebrated in The Gambia by a mental health charity he co-founded. Mobee Gambia held a community day to celebrate his legacy which included planting trees and laying the foundation stones for a new wellbeing centre. The event will be held annually.
