When a member of staff cannot make a shift at one of our services, we need to ensure someone is there to support the person we support. Because of this, we have Casual Support Workers who fill these shifts by picking them up as and when they can.

Becoming a Casual Worker is a fantastic way of fitting in work around a hectic personal schedule which varies from week to week. You are not required to complete a certain number of hours per week and if you don’t want to do anything, you don’t have to! There is no contract to sign, you just work the hours that suit you, be it weekends or weekdays.

Shifts can vary dependant on where we need cover. Whether it be a night, day, sleep or short cover shift, we offer shifts dependent on the needs of the people we support.

By being a Casual Support Worker, it will give you a chance to see many of our services in your local area too however, don’t fret! We won’t ask you to travel to the ends of the earth for a shift and you can tell us what areas you can work in to ensure you are comfortable with working for us!

Don’t worry about experience, whilst we will value any experience in Support Work you might have, we recruit on values and if you share these, we offer full training to ensure you’re comfortable in working anywhere for Alternative Futures Group as a Casual Support Worker.
