Welcome to Alternative Futures Group.
We have a vision to create a world where people control their lives.
Here at Alternative Futures Group, we pride ourselves on helping the people we support to design, develop and ‘own’ the support they receive by planning this with them; we support people to make informed choices and increase their own independence; and we support people to maintain their own health, well being and living environment.
As a values based employer, Alternative Futures Group offers work opportunities in various settings in both Mental Health and Learning Disabilities. Support Workers can work within our Treatment and Recovery Centres, gaining valuable experience with our Nursing Teams, Supported Living services providing 24/7 support to people in their own homes or Outreach Support to those who require lesser support managing some aspects of their lives.

At Alternative Futures Group, we’re proud of the success we achieve when supporting the people we support. From helping someone with a Learning Disability to make a cup of tea at first, to supporting that person to get dressed and washed in the morning to start a new college course, our support workers and clinical staff are there along each person’s journey.
As part of our new Learning & Development strategy, our Support Workers will specialise in either Mental Health or Learning Disabilities. Because of this, Support Workers embark on a tailored and specialised training programme with Alternative Futures Group, gaining the skills needed to give the best support to help the people we support achieve their goals. This will mean, a person we support with a mental health condition, will be supported by a support worker with specific training around their condition to ensure they remain safe and supported. We raise the bar – We learn from the past, are adaptive and excited by our future. We innovate and lead the way. We strive for best quality with least waste. Better never stops.
We take ownership – We do the right thing, are solution focused and get results. We are responsible for our behaviour and hold each other to account.
