I joined the Board of Trustees at AFG in January 2018.
This is my first Trustee role and I’m looking forward to working with more experienced Trustees to develop my knowledge and make a positive contribution to the Board.
I was particularly attracted to AFG’s vision to support individuals to be as independent as possible and build a better alternative future. I started my NHS career at Parkside Hospital in Macclesfield during the mental health hospital closure programme and I’m looking forward to understanding more about the valuable services offered by AFG to people with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
I have 32 years NHS experience in the field of Human Resources Management and Workforce Development and am currently the Director of Workforce at the Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership. I hope that my professional experience and skills will be a valuable addition to the AFG Board and I have also been asked to join the Board’s Performance Committee.
Outside of work, I live with my partner in Cheshire and we are both big rugby union fans – supporting both Sale Sharks and England live when we can and on the television when we can’t. I also enjoy travelling, socialising, cooking, reading and spending time with my family and friends.
