And the results are in…..

We’re delighted to announce AFG’s 2018 Celebrate Success winners following last night’s sparkling awards evening in Haydock.

The awards recognise and acknowledge some of the amazing colleagues we have working at AFG.  The ceremony celebrated the achievements of colleagues who live AFG’s values and consistently go above and beyond.

Highlight of the evening was the Front-Line Colleague of the Year which was won by Support Worker Jenna Clancy who works in Greater Manchester.

Six other categories were announced on the night including the Neil Campbell Award for Inspirational Leader of the Year. This category was re-named in honour of AFG’s former CEO Neil Campbell who sadly passed away last September. The winner was Mary Rowlands from Merseyside who was presented with her award by Neil’s wife Debbie Campbell.

The We Take Ownership category was won by Oak Lodge independent hospital in Bolton (Greater Manchester region) which crowned a momentous year for the hospital– receiving an Outstanding from the CQC for the first time and being short-listed for the national LaingBuisson healthcare awards finals.

Director of HR Kirsty Muldoon said: “This was a very special evening dedicated to recognising the hard work of colleagues who have made outstanding contributions to AFG during 2018. We received 236 nominations in total and after much deliberation by our Executive Team judging panel which was narrowed down to 20 finalists in six categories.  The nine finalists in the Front-Line Colleague of the Year category was opened to an employee vote.

”it was great to see such a wealth of talent winning across all the region we operate in – reflecting the depth and spread of dedication, commitment and caring displayed by AFG colleagues every single day. It was an evening to be very proud of all AFG staff.”
