Meadow Park hospital charities boost
Meadow Park independent hospital staff and their families have excelled at raising money for charity. In just two months they have raised more than £1350 for charities close to their hearts.
Three staff members completed a 5K Race for Life – raising £700 for Cancer Research UK.
One of the runners Support worker Sian Williams said: “It was a brilliant team effort. None of us are runners so it was quite a challenge. And my twin sons joined us so there was a gentle bit of coaxing required too!”
Team Meadow Park, staff and service users, recently put in an impressive effort to raise £650 for the mental health charity MIND – holding a community Fun Day involving the Police, Fire Brigade and supported by local businesses.
Sian added: “Everyone has done a fantastic job and we’re now looking forward to next year’s Fun Day and lots more fund-raising activity besides.”
