AFG donates equipment to Wigan and Leigh Hospice
Alternative Futures Group has donated equipment to Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
The equipment, including hoists, reclining beds and chairs, were formerly used at AFG’s Abbey Court independent hospital.
Wigan and Leigh Hospice Clinical Director Jo Carby said: “We are very grateful to AFG for choosing to donate this equipment to Wigan and Leigh Hospice. The hospice is a charity which relies on donations to ensure we can continue to deliver services which every year support more than 1,000 people with a life-limiting illness. We will be making use of this equipment wherever we can to support our patients in the local community and within the hospice itself.”
AFG Facilities Contracts Administrator Judy Harrigan, who facilitated the transfer of the equipment, said: “It was lovely to donate such a large amount of equipment to such a worthy cause, saving the hospice much needed funds.”

Karin said: “We’re really pleased that the equipment is being used. It couldn’t go to a better cause.”
