AFG finalists in ‘Oscars’ of the care sector
We’re delighted to announce that two of our services are finalists in the LaingBuisson health and social care awards for Specialist Care and Rehabilitation respectively.
Oak Lodge hospital in Bolton, which recently retained its ‘good’ CQC rating, is a finalist in the specialist care section of the awards whilst Lea Court hospital in Warrington has reached the final of the rehabilitation category. The awards aim to highlight achievement across the independent healthcare sector in the UK.
LaingBuisson announced: “A huge thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination and many congratulations to all our finalists. This year we received over 350 outstanding nominations from across the health and social care sectors.”
Acting Lea Court Registered Manager Allen O’Connor said: “This is a testament to the wonderful work of staff here – working closely with patients – who always go the extra mile to deliver the best outcome for the people we support.”
Oak Lodge Registered Manager Alvine Andrews added: “We’re so pleased that the dedicated effort of team Oak Lodge has been recognised by such prestigious awards. This nomination is as much for our service users as it is for our staff because we work together to help them take more control of their lives.”

The awards ceremony will be held in London on 15 November.
